📅 Mark your calendars and get ready to embark on a journey towards operational excellence! The South African Institute of Tribology (SAIT) is thrilled to announce an afternoon seminar on “Quality & Impact on Operations” in the vibrant city of Randburg, Johannesburg
Training
A number of different training courses are provided, including:
- 5 day Lubrication Engineering
- 1 day introduction to Lubrication Engineering
- 1 day introduction to Wear of Materials
- CLS
- in-house courses can also be offered
Awards
The SAIT offers four annual awards to deserving recipients
The Louw Alberts Award
This award of a floating trophy is presented, at the discretion of the SAIT Executive Committee, for an exceptional contribution towards tribology. It is not always awarded, but is dependent on the availability of a worthy recipient.
Precipitants (as a window)
Best Technical Achievement Award
This annual award consists of a trophy and prize cheque for the best technical achievement in the field of tribology. Entrants are required to submit a case study for consideration.
Best Technical Presentation
Awarded annually for the best technical presentation given at SAIT technical meetings, seminars and conferences.
SAIT Student Award
An annual competition for undergraduate and postgraduate students, for their research work and achievements in the field of tribology.
AGM
The 40th Annual General Meeting of the Southern African Institute of Tribology was held remotely on Wednesday 28th August 2024.
